Book Review: Thunder Dog

A real 9-11 story! The extreme dedication of a guide dog combined with super sensitive senses of a blind human equals survival. Very tense account of existing Tower 1, so thank goodness Michael intermittently flashed back to tales of his life. Amazing book for dog lover or not.

Book Review: Put Your Dream to the Test by John Maxwell

Put Your Dream to the Test by John Maxwell was great. I love John Maxwell's books. This is a great business gift, and I know just the client I want to share this book with. It also has My Dream Map included which was an added bonus. Great quotes throughout the book which I have shared a few with co-workers and now they are going to find the book! Definitely gets your wheels turning as you read! Could be a great book for anyone!

Book Review: Johann Sebastian Bach By Rick Marschall

This book was very interesting. I never knew Bach was such a Christian man until I read this book; it is very different from musicians now days that aren't as religious. Bach had a great Christian beginning, which shows that does create success in the rest of life. I never knew how he involved God in his music before. To be devoted enough to write God help me at the top of every blank page is being devoted to God in a new sort of way. Not only did Bach make wonderful organ music, but he also made beautiful piano and choral music. He had wonderful instructors, not only his music teacher but also his parents and family which led him in the right Christian path that made him so successful. Without his strong religion, he never would have became such an important composer that we look back on. In the book, his technique is noted and spoken of. He did great things for music and became one of the most famous composers, raking beside Beethoven. I just loved reading about all of the works he had composed and why he had composed them, there is always a meaning behind music and it was great I could find so much meaning in one book.

Book Review: Regret Free Parenting

Regret Free Parenting was a book that I got way more than I expected. There were a lot of good principles plus examples to help explain. This will be a book I may keep on reference after sharing with the Director of Children and Family Ministy at my church. After reading it, it all seems to be common sense, but uses faith and Christ examples throughout. I even shared some tidbits with my husband and he enjoyed listening and agreeing with the "key points." It's one of those books that should be read every year probably!
